EXCELLANT !!!!Brian Cohen's illustrations are fantastic as well.
My only disappointment was the author's photographs, though that can be forgiven fro writing such a good book. It is now a permanent part of my library.

Makes me want to visit the Dunes! The book combines an easy-to-read text with many full-color photos. Petersen describes how the Dunes were created: "Sand, water, wind, and time: These are the dune makers." Also discussed is the plant and animal life on and near the Dunes. Overall, a fascinating, educational book that makes me want to visit this national monument.

I used to love this book

What do the authors think about the nuclear/hazardous waste?

A great buy!
